Scandal Wears Satin on sale today

Tuesday, June 26, 2012
Loretta is very happy to report:

All that history I blog about?  It goes into my books, too.  Well, quite a bit of it.  And the fashions?  They're a crucial part of my Dressmakers series.

Scandal Wears Satin, the second Dressmakers book, is now available for what I hope will be your reading delectation.

This time it's Sophy's story—and those of you who've already read Book One, Silk is for Seduction, will probably not swoon with astonishment when you find out that the hero is...

Right. Him.

You can read an excerpt at my website...or you can just go take a wild chance and get the book and see what happens.

You can expect to see more book-related historical tidbits here at 2NHG this week—and I'll be working like crazy to give you plenty of visuals over on our Pinterest page aka TwoNerdyHistoryGirls***.

And if you'll kindly bear with my bragging a little in small print, Scandal Wears Satin received starred reviews from Library Journal and Booklist as well as 4-1/2 stars and a Top Pick from Romantic Times.  And other nice reviews elsewhere—but a dose of discretion, I think, cannot come amiss.

Yes, looking forward to it! But my Dutch creditcard wasn't accepted by Amaon, so I have to be creative... my husbands creditcard??

Hi, Marleen. Thank you for trying! I'm not sure what the solution is. Here's what Amazon takes for payment: "Amazon.com accepts American Express, Diners Club, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, Eurocard, Visa, Visa Check Cards, payment from your checking account, Amazon.com gift cards, Amazon.com Gift Card claim codes, Amazon Payments Stored Balance, and the Amazon Store Card." Maybe one of our readers in Europe can suggest an alternative bookseller or method.

I'm trying not to start it yet during down time at work because I am on a long in-hospital call on Thursday waiting for babies to be delivered. It is unlikely that I will be able to wait that long and will have it polished off before bedtime today. Thanks, in advance, for making my week!

I thought it wasn't out until next month! Yikes! I need to swing by a bookstore today!

(Yes, I'm a married straight guy who loves your books.)

Thank you, Vicky! Sarahlizzi, I'm going to picture you reading the book in between the abrupt appearances of various babies.
